The CXA2530 is optimized to simplify designs and lower system cost and can enable system- level performance of 2000 to 5000 lumens. The XLamp CXA2530 LeD delivers high lumen output and high efficacy in a single, easy-to-use package that eliminates the need for reflow soldering. The XLamp CXA2530 LeD highlighted in this reference design is optimized to enable applications that traditionally use halogen, ceramic metal halide (CmH) and compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) technology. In this reference design, the XLamp CXA2530 LeD is used in a retail track light that operates on direct line 120-vAC input. The goal of the design is to enable a retail track light with a narrow beam, based on a single XLamp CXA2530 LeD, delivering performance equivalent to a 39-watt CmH lamp. Copyright © 2013 Cree, Inc.
